Edamame with Ponzu Sauce

Edamame with ponzu sauce - super easy, super fast, and full of flavor! This is one of my favorite appetizers that will be sure to be a hit with you and your family.

Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. edamame in the shell

  • ½ c. ponzu sauce

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 1 tsp. olive oil

  • ½ tsp. chili paste

  • Dash black pepper

Directions:

  • Cook edamame according to package (fresh or frozen) and set aside.

  • In a wok or large pan over medium heat, cook garlic in olive oil for 1 minute.

  • Increase heat to medium-high, add edamame, ponzu sauce, chili paste, and black pepper.

  • Cook for 5-7 minutes.

  • Finish with a dash of fresh lime juice.

  • Serve immediately.

Notes:

  • Add chili flakes or more chili paste for spicier edamame.

  • Leftovers? Reheat in the microwave for 1 minute at 50% power.

  • When cooking the edamame, I slightly under cook as the edamame will finish cooking with the ponzu sauce.
