Edamame with ponzu sauce - super easy, super fast, and full of flavor! This is one of my favorite appetizers that will be sure to be a hit with you and your family.
Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 lb. edamame in the shell
½ c. ponzu sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. olive oil
½ tsp. chili paste
Dash black pepper
Directions:
Cook edamame according to package (fresh or frozen) and set aside.
In a wok or large pan over medium heat, cook garlic in olive oil for 1 minute.
Increase heat to medium-high, add edamame, ponzu sauce, chili paste, and black pepper.
Cook for 5-7 minutes.
Finish with a dash of fresh lime juice.
Serve immediately.
Notes:
Add chili flakes or more chili paste for spicier edamame.
Leftovers? Reheat in the microwave for 1 minute at 50% power.
When cooking the edamame, I slightly under cook as the edamame will finish cooking with the ponzu sauce.
