Simple to make and so delicious, featuring fresh herbs and spices - you won't ever want to buy the bottled version at the store again!
Prep Time: 40 minutes (10 minutes active, 30 minutes inactive) | Cook Time: 0 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes
Ingredients:
1 c. sour cream
½ c. mayonnaise
⅛ - ¼ c. buttermilk*
2 tsp. fresh dill, finely chopped
2 tsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp. fresh chives, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper
Pinch of sugar
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir well to combine.
Let set in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes:
*Are you making this as a dip vs. salad dressing? Use ⅛ (or 2 Tbsp.) buttermilk for a thicker, dip-like sauce.
Don’t have buttermilk? A few great substitution can be found here - https://tastesbetterfromscratch.com/how-to-make-buttermilk/. You can also substitute 2% or whole milk.
You can substitute dried herbs for fresh herbs - 1/2 tsp. dried dill and parsley, 1/4 tsp. dried chives.
Store in refrigerator for up to 7 days.
Don’t like the bite that raw garlic brings to the dressing? Substitute ½ tsp. garlic powder instead.
